Controversial midfielder not included in Sultan Azlan Shah Cup squad
Great Britain's men have avoided a meeting later this month with Fernando Zylberberg, the controversial Argentina midfielder, after he was omitted from the national squad.
The 34-year-old, who has captained the side in the past and competed at two Olympic Games, was left out of the 18-man squad to play in the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Malaysia.
It reduced the chances of Zylberberg featuring at this summer's Games. He caused a political storm when he was shown in a video running in the Falklands capital Port Stanley and on the island's Great War Memorial, .
Great Britain will compete in the tournament, from May 24 to June 4, alongside the hosts India, Pakistan, New Zealand and South Korea.
The advert in which Zylberberg appeared was broadcast on Argentinian television last week, with the tagline: "To compete on British soil, we train on Argentinian soil" and ends with the words "Homage to the fallen and the veterans of the Malvinas. Presidency of the Nation."
Argentina's National Olympic Committee distanced themselves from the advert on Monday.
