Charlton have cancelled the contract of defender Andre Bikey.
The 30-year-old, who joined the club in 2014, has not made a first-team appearance this season and appeared unlikely to feature following the summer arrivals of Patrick Bauer, Naby Sarr and Zakarya Bergdich, and having been peripheral since the January appointment of Guy Luzon as manager.
Bikey's wages were reportedly among Charlton's highest so his departure could lead to new arrivals, triallist Jermaine Pennant included, before Tuesday's transfer deadline.
Charlton have also confirmed that 24-year-old full-back Loic Nego has joined Videoton, of Hungary, on a permanent basis.
Nego was among the club's first signings when Roland Duchatelet completed his takeover of the club in January 2013 but made only one first-team appearance, unlike Bikey, who made 34.
