Nicola Adams will bid to win flyweight gold at the Women's World Boxing Championships on Friday in Kazakhstan.
Adams claimed a unanimous victory over home favourite Zhaina Sherbekova on Thursday to book a showdown with fellow Olympian Peamwilai Laopeam in the final.
Shekerbekova started strongly with the Astana crowd behind her but Adams soon took control and claimed a 39-37 on all three judges' scorecards.
The reigning Olympic and Commonwealth champion, who has already qualified for Rio, is aiming to go one better after finishing runner-up in the past three World Championships.
"I won today and 1 step closer to the gold, thank you everyone for your continued support," tweeted Adams
Laopeam, who is Thailand's first female boxer to ever qualify for the Olympics, claimed a narrow win over France's Sarah Ourahmopune to secure a clash with Adams.
"This is my last year in the sport after a long career and I travelled to Astana to get the Olympic spot for Rio, which I earned in a difficult quarter-final," said Laopeam.
"I tried to move more than my French rival and managed to win a tough contest, so I am very happy."
