Freddie Roach admits a fight between Viktor Postol and Manny Pacquiao will leave him with a problem.
The Hall of Fame trainer is behind both boxing stars, with the 32-year-old Ukrainian already linked with a showdown with the multi-weight world title winner 'Pac-Man'.
WBC super-lightweight world champion Postol (28-0-KO12) has been working with Roach for the last couple of years and takes on his toughest challenge on Saturday in a unification fight with WBO boss Terence Crawford (28-0-KO20).
Pacquiao is expected to return to the ring in the autumn, with promoter Bob Arum putting Saturday's winner - alongside Danny Garcia and Jessie Vargas - on his potential shortlist and Roach admits it will cause problems if Postol wins and puts himself in pole position.
"If a big fight like that came up and he had a chance to make a lot of money fighting Manny Pacquiao, I wouldn't deny him that," he told RingTV.
Roach also ruled out his assistant, Filipino Marvin Somodio, being in Postol's corner should success on Saturday secure a Pacquiao bout.
The 56-year old would be the multi-weight world champion's trainer but revealed that he wouldn't completely turn his back on Postol's preparations if the fight does happen.
"I'd make sure he was in good hands," he said.
"He is a friend of mine and he's one of my fighters that I do like a lot."
Pacquiao (58-6-2-KO38) has not boxed since beating Timothy Bradley on points in April, his only fight in the last 14 months since losing the Fight of the Century against Floyd Mayweather.
