Former world champions Antonio Margarito and Roy Jones Jr continued to defy their advancing years by securing weekend wins.
Controversial Mexican Margarito (40-8-KO27) has now won his last two bouts since punishing points defeats to Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto.
'El Tornado de Tijuana', 38, was fighting the brother of Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez - Ramon Alvarez (23-5-2-KO15), and although one judge scored the bout 95-94 for the loser, Margarito was handed comfortable decisions of 97-92 by the other two.
Over in Pensacola, Florida, Jones Jr continued his latest revival in his hometown as he recorded a shut-out points win over Rodney Moore (17-12-2-KO7).
The 47-year-old Jones Jr (64-9-KO46) was emphatically knocked out by Enzo Maccarinelli in Russia in December but was never troubled against the Texan as he recorded a second win on the bounce.
