Floyd Mayweather passes weight check ahead of Manny Pacquiao showdown
Friday 10 April 2015 14:55, UK
Floyd Mayweather is within 3.5lbs of the welterweight limit more than three weeks out from his meeting with Manny Pacquiao.
World Boxing Council rules demand weight checks 30 days and a week before fight night to ensure boxers get down to the 147lb limit gradually and safely.
And the organisation, whose welterweight belt is one of three up for grabs live on Sky Sports Box Office on May 2, posted a picture on its website showing Mayweather tipping the scales at 150.5lbs - well inside its 30-day stipulation.
The unbeaten American has won world titles at five different weights - from super-feather to light-middle - while Pacquiao is an eight-weight world champion who won his first WBC belt at flyweight.
Mayweather v Pacquiao is live on Sky Sports Box Office and the cost of the event will be £19.95 / €24.95 across all forms of booking, up until midnight Friday, May 1. From then on the cost will still be £19.95 / €24.95 if bookings are made via remote control and online, but will cost £24.95 / €29.95 if booked via the phone.
Please note an additional £2 booking fee still applies if bookings are made via a telephone agent. Cable customers please contact your operator for booking information.
