Ricky Hatton believes Floyd Mayweather v Manny Pacquiao is up there with the biggest fights of all-time.
The former two-weight world champion is one of only four fighters to share the ring with the two big-named fighters, who will fight on May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Hatton lost to both Mayweather and Pacquiao at the same venue in 2007 and 2009 respectively and made no secret that he was delighted when they both agreed to fight.
And he is convinced it is one of the biggest showdowns the sport has ever seen.
"I've been over there on numerous occasions and they don't get much better than this," Hatton told Ringside.
"Everyone in boxing is excited by it. Boxing is excited by it - no one more than me, probably because I have shared a ring with both of them!
"It's a fight that needed to happen for boxing. You can't have two fighters in the same weight division who will go down in history - Manny Pacquiao as a seven-weight world champion, Floyd Mayweather, five-weight world champion - and they don't fight. We couldn't let that happen.
"But thankfully they're going to get it on and it's right up there with the biggest fights of all time.
"It's up there with Hagler-Hearns, with Leonard-Hearns, with Ali-Frazier."
Mayweather stopped Hatton in 10 rounds while Pacquiao took just two, but who does the Manchester man expect to win? Hatton remains undecided at this stage but to see why, watch the video at the top of the page...
