Two hundred and forty-five runs.
That's how many Shoaib Malik scored for Pakistan as they amassed a score of 523-8 declared in their first innings.
England's attack went wicketless in the first two sessions as Malik notched a maiden Test double-ton, Asad Shafiq hit an eighth Test century and Adil Rashid recorded the worst figures by a bowler on Test debut (0-163).
But the tourists fought back well in the final session, taking four wickets - Ben Stokes (4-57) with three of them - before Alastair Cook (39no) and Moeen Ali (15no) survived 21 overs before the close.
