It wasn’t a day for the faint-hearted in Sharjah as Pakistan and England traded punch and counter-punch in a bid to gain supremacy.

Ben Stokes proved his bottle once again by batting at 11 before Pakistan's reply - led by Mohammad Hafeez (97no) - tilted the balance of play once more despite an horrendous run out.
