Mohammad Amir takes just five overs to get among the wickets on his return to England with Pakistan

Mohammad Amir marked his return to action in England with two early wickets for Pakistan in their tour match against Somerset.

The left-arm seamer is set to play in his first Test match since a five-year ban for spot-fixing when Pakistan take on England at Lord's, starting on July 14, live on Sky Sports, and he wasted little time in making his mark during the warm-up game at Taunton.

Having been hit for two fours in his first over by former England opener Marcus Trescothick, Amir soon hit back and had the left-hander caught behind in the fifth over of the innings.

He followed that up by clean bowling Trescothick's opening partner Adam Hose in his next over, in bowler-friendly conditions in the West Country, reaching lunch with figures of 2-16 from his six overs.

However, it was not all good news for Amir as he earlier fell for a second-ball duck, edging behind off Josh Davey. He could have gone first ball as he was struck on the pads but Davey was denied what looked a strong lbw shout having overstepped for a no-ball.
