Stephen Eskinazi has signed a new contract with Middlesex that ties him to Lord's until the end of the 2019 season.

The 22-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman averaged almost 44 from his nine first-class appearances this summer, helping Middlesex win their first County Championship title since 1993.

South Africa-born Eskinazi said: "What we achieved this year has been extremely special and is without doubt one of the proudest moments of my life.
