Stephen Eskinazi signs new contract with Middlesex

Stephen Eskinazi has signed a new contract with Middlesex that ties him to Lord's until the end of the 2019 season.

The 22-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman averaged almost 44 from his nine first-class appearances this summer, helping Middlesex win their first County Championship title since 1993.

South Africa-born Eskinazi said: "What we achieved this year has been extremely special and is without doubt one of the proudest moments of my life.

"I am absolutely delighted to have committed my future to this great club for another three years."
