Watch how Virat Kohli fell 'hit wicket' to Adil Rashid on day four of the first Test against England

Virat Kohli lost his wicket in unfortunate circumstances on day four of the first Test against England; the Indian skipper was out 'hit wicket'.

Click on the video above to watch the bizarre dismissal, as Kohli walked back onto his stumps when trying to work away a short ball from Adil Rashid into the legside.

Kohli had been playing nicely up until that point, easing through to 40 from 94 balls, but ultimately became Rashid's second wicket, and England's sixth, of a fine bowling display.

It was England's second wicket of the fourth morning, after Zafar Ansari bowled Ajinkya Rahane for 13, and it reduced the hosts to 361-6 in reply to England's 537.

Kohli's wicket was the first time an Indian batsman has been dismissed in such a manner since VVS Laxman fell 'hit wicket' to Mervyn Dillon and the West Indies in 2002.
