West Indies' hopes of earning a series draw with Pakistan were boosted with a seven-wicket win in the third T20 international in Trinidad, on Saturday.

Set 138 to win, there was no repeat of their collapse to defeat in the second T20I, with Evin Lewis the pick of the batsman, the opener blasting 91 off 51 balls.

Another victory for the West Indies in Sunday's final game will see the series shared, ahead of the three-match ODI and Test legs of Pakistan's tour.

Earlier, leg-spinner Samuel Badree (2-22) took two wickets for the hosts inside the opening four balls of the game to have Pakistan immediately on the back foot.

Kamran Akmal (48) and Babar Azam (43) then shared in an 88-run stand for the third wicket to see the visitors well-placed at 92-2 with eight overs to go.

But a batting collapse of 6-40, with Fakhar Zaman (21) the only other batsman to reach double-figures, saw Pakistan stutter to a finish.

Left-hander Lewis smashed as many as nine sixes in his blistering knock, with Marlon Samuels (18) and Jason Mohammed (17no) very much the support acts.

There would be no repeat of 18-year-old leg-spinner Shadab Khan's heroics from the first two T20Is in the series as he finished with figures of 1-38 - the scalp of Lewis a ball before West Indies reached their target.
