Sarel Erwee muscled the first hundred of the 2017/18 Ram Slam T20 Challenge - at Centurion, fittingly - before thunder, lightning and rain impacted Dolphins' high-scoring, 15-run win over Cobras on DLS.

Watch highlights of the match in the video above as Erwee brought up his ton from 57 deliveries with a six, the last of five maximums he struck in Dolphins' mammoth 231-2, a record Ram Slam total.

The left-hander (103no off 58) - who also lashed 10 fours - was given fine support from Khaya Zondo (67no off 34), the captain thrashing four sixes and as many fours during a rollicking stand of 136 from 64 balls.

Two of Zondo's maximums were caught one handed by spectators, putting both fans in line for a share of two million rand in the tournament's Catch Two Million competition.

There were three one-handed fan catches in the Ram Slam clash between Cobras and Dolphins, earning each supporter a share of two million rand!

Another supporter made that three in Cobras' reply by sticking out his arm to catch an Aviwe Mgijima maximum, before the players were hauled off for safety reasons amid thunder and lightning.

A rain shower followed meaning Cobras - 86-3 from the 8.3 overs before the delay - were set a revised 38 from nine balls upon the resumption, a task they found just too tall as they ended on 108-3.

It was not for the lack of trying from Hashim Amla (52no off 27) and Mgijima (37no off 19) - who put on 88 from 43 balls - but Andile Phehlukwayo shipped just eight runs from the final over, with the Cobras requiring 24.
