A hat-trick from Robbie Frylinck and a half-century from Morne van Wyk could not prevent the Dolphins from falling to a narrow one-run defeat against the Warriors.

Electing to bat after winning the toss, Warriors saw captain JJ Smuts bowled for a first-ball duck and slipped to 25-3 in the sixth over, only for Christaan Jonker and Colin Ackermann to put on 90 for the fourth wicket.
Ackermann (37) was dismissed by Mthokozisi Shezi (3-24) and Jonker (59) caught behind off the bowling of Frylinck (3-23), who then claimed the wickets of Sisanda Magala and Andrew Birch with his next two deliveries.
Dolphins started slowly and were reduced to 35-4 when skipper Khaya Zondo was trapped lbw in the seventh over, but were bolstered by opener Van Wyk reaching 50 off 38 balls.

Van Wyk (57) was run out in the 18th over and the Dolphins required 17 from the final over, where they fell just short despite sixes from Frylinck (25no) and Keshav Maharaj (13no).
The Ram Slam action on Sky Sports continues on Wednesday when the Dolphins take on the Lions (3.55pm, Sky Sports Cricket).
