Pakistan did not manage it - they were bundled out for just 134 in 46 overs, with off-spinner Dom Bess (33) bagging his first Test scalps and Stuart Broad (3-28) claiming the final wicket.
England will return to Test action on July 1 when their five-match series against India gets underway at Edgbaston, before further fixtures at Lord's, Trent Bridge, The Rose Bowl and The Oval.
Before then, they will play limited-overs games against Scotland, Australia and India, starting with an ODI against Scotland in Edinburgh on Saturday.
