Australia have been forced into an ICC Champions Trophy reshuffle with captain Pat Cummins and fellow seamer Josh Hazlewood to miss the tournament through injury and Marcus Stoinis announcing his shock retirement from ODIs.
Cummins (ankle) and Hazlewood (hip) have a combined 281 wickets in one-day international cricket but will be unavailable for the tournament that runs from February 19 to March 9 in Pakistan and the UAE, live on Sky Sports.
Steve Smith or Travis Head are likely to captain Australia in the Champions Trophy, with the Baggy Greens beginning their campaign against England in Lahore on February 22.

Mitchell Marsh (back) had already been ruled out.
Stoinis, who will continue to be available for Australia in T20 international cricket, has called time on his ODI career after playing 71 matches in the format.
The all-rounder scored 1,495 runs, including one hundred - a knock of 146 not against New Zealand - and six further half-centuries, while he also picked up 48 wickets with his seam bowling.
Like Cummins and Hazlewood, Stoinis was part of the Australia squad that won the 2023 50-over World Cup in India.
Australia have until February 12 to finalise their 15-player group for the Champions Trophy, where they and England will be joined by Afghanistan and South Africa in Group B.
Australia's squad for Champions Trophy: Alex Carey, Nathan Ellis, Aaron Hardie, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Marnus Labuschagne, Glenn Maxwell, Matt Short, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa (four other players to be added).
