Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Irfan ruled out of rest of World Cup

Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Irfan has been ruled out of the remainder of the World Cup due to a hip problem.
The 32-year-old suffered the injury ahead of the Pool B clash with Ireland in Adelaide on Sunday and missed the game which Pakistan won to secure their place in the quarter-finals.
The tall paceman had a scan on Monday which proved inconclusive and was asked to undergo more detailed scans on Tuesday which confirmed a stress fracture in his pelvis.
Irfan’s absence is a major blow to the 1992 champions' chances of defeating four-time winners Australia in their last-eight clash at the Adelaide Oval on Friday.
"This injury rules Irfan out of the World Cup," said Brad Robinson, the Pakistan team's physiotherapist.
Pressure
Meanwhile, Pakistan opening batsman Sarfraz Ahmed insists the pressure of expectation will be on Australia on Friday because of their status as title favourites and all the attention on them playing at home.
He said: "I think the pressure is on them so we will try to attack them and play positive cricket.
"We have always had tough contests with Australia. Against them in the United Arab Emirates, we beat them in a competitive Test series.
"The pressure of the different conditions is always there and from their home crowds, but I remember that Imran (Khan, the 1992 World Cup winning captain) said that the Adelaide pitch is also good for Pakistan."
