Heavy rain forced the second day's play of the one-off Test between Bangladesh and India in Fatullah to be abandoned without a ball being bowled.

Bad weather had also disrupted the first day’s play, with just 56 of the stipulated 90 overs bowled.

India were set to resume day two on 239-0 with Shikhar Dhawan unbeaten on 150 and Murali Vijay 89.

But umpires Kumar Dharmasena and Nigel Llong called off play shortly after lunch with the early morning leaving the outfield and covers water-logged at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali stadium.

More rain has been forecast for the next three days, raising fears of the match ending in a draw.
