South African all-rounder David Wiese has re-signed for Sussex.
The 31-year-old replaces batsman Ross Taylor, who is now with New Zealand for their two-Test series against Zimbabwe.
Sussex head coach Mark Davis brings in Wiese as the club's overseas player with knowledge about his ability, as the 31-year-old had a short spell with the county earlier this season, playing four NatWest T20 Blast matches and one in the Royal London One-Day Cup.
Wiese has featured regularly in South Africa's Twenty20 side over the last year, and was part their squad for the World Twenty20 in India earlier in 2016.
Sussex's latest signing comes only days after fast bowler Jofra Archer signed an 18-month professional deal with the club.
Wiese and Archer join the Sussex side that face Essex on Thursday at Castle Park.
