Snell, Kadeer and Woodman to leave Bristol
Gloucestershire have announced the departures of Steve Snell, Kadeer Ali and Rob Woodman a year before their contracts expire.
Wicketkeeper Snell has been with the county for six seasons but is likely to find his place in the side under pressure following the emergence of Chris Dent.
Chief executive Tom Richardson said: "We have to make a number of changes to the balance of the squad and, whilst Steve Snell was an important part of the 2010 line-up, we envisage he would have very few opportunities next season.
"Knowing Steve wants to and deserves to be playing first team cricket, we agreed that it would be in everyone's best interest if he were free to pursue his career at a new club."
Ali, an opening batsman, has been at Bristol for a similar length of time but failed to pass 100 in six championship matches in 2010.
Support
"At 27 and having represented England A a few years ago, I feel I have plenty more to offer in the game and I will be looking for a new county," said Ali, whose brother Moeen and cousin Kabir both play for Worcestershire.
"I would like to thank all the players, supporters, ground staff and everyone in the offices for their support over the years at Gloucestershire."
Young seamer Woodman failed to feature in the first-team in 2010 and both the player and club felt it was time to move on.
"Rob Woodman has had no opportunities this season and, as he also wishes to play first team cricket, we decided it was mutually beneficial for him to be able to pursue alternatives at other counties," said Richardson.
Gloucestershire have already seen the departure of Steve Kirby following his move to Somerset, while promising seamer Gemaal Hussain and opening batsman William Porterfield have also left since the end of the season.
