England will field an unchanged side for their second Test against South Africa, at Trent Bridge on Friday.

The tourists were on the wrong end of a 211-run defeat in the opening match between the sides at Lord's as Joe Root's tenure as captain got off to the perfect start.

Spinners Moeen Ali (6-53) and Liam Dawson (2-34) dismissed the Proteas for just 119 in 36.4 overs after England had made 223 in their second innings.

Set 331 to win on a sharply-turning pitch of unpredictable bounce, South Africa folded as Ali earned his first five-wicket haul at the ground, finishing with 10-102 wickets in the match.

On the back of that result, the same 12-man squad will travel to Nottingham for the next instalment of the four-Test series.
