Samuels likely to be recalled by Windies for second Test

West Indies have left vice-captain Brendan Nash out of their 13-man squad for the second Test against India starting on Tuesday. The Australian-born batsman has been short of match practice and made just one and nine in the first Test defeat in Jamaica. "It is clear that Brendan has been struggling for form for some time and we want to give him a chance to take some time away from international cricket and work on his game," Clyde Butts, the chairman of selectors, said. "Brendan is a mentally tough cricketer and we are sure that he will be able to overcome the challenges he is now facing and come back strong." With Chris Gayle still out of favour due to his ongoing spat with selectors, Marlon Samuels is likely to replace Nash in the only expected change to the final line-up iin Barbados.
