Peter Siddle ruled out of Australia's second Test against New Zealand

Peter Siddle has been ruled out of Australia's second Test against New Zealand after failing to recover from an ongoing back injury.
The 31 year-old aggravated a recurring injury during his side's comprehensive innings and 52-run victory over the Black Caps in the first Test.
The Victorian, who has taken 208 wickets in 61 Test matches for Australia, suffered back spasms on the penultimate day in Wellington and managed to bowl just 20 overs across the four days' play.
"Peter experienced some discomfort in his back during the first Test in Wellington and has not recovered sufficiently enough to play the Test," said Australia physiotherapist David Beakley.
"At this stage, the plan is for him to stay with the squad in Christchurch for the remainder of the tour before returning to Melbourne for further investigation."
Siddle is likely to be replaced by fellow Victorian James Pattinson - if the 25 year-old can prove his fitness after recovering from a recurring shin injury.
Selectors could hand uncapped seamer, Chadd Sayers, a Test debut at Christchurch's Hagley Oval, if Pattinson fails to come through a late fitness test.
Australia currently lead the two-match series 1-0 heading into the second and final Test on Friday.
