Here's the best action from day three of the first Ashes Test from Cardiff.

Australia require 412 to win the first Investec Ashes Test at Cardiff as England pressed home their advantage on day three.

Australia were bowled out for 308 in their first innings, with five wickets falling for just 44 in the morning session.

James Anderson (3-43) and Stuart Broad (2-60) took two wickets each and Mark Wood (2-66) one in a very impressive display by England with the ball.

Trailing by 122, Australia made early inroads in England's second innings, reducing them to 22-2 and 73-3, with the scalps of Alastair Cook (12), Gary Ballance (0) and Adam Lyth (37) before Ian Bell and Joe Root built on England's lead with a pair of fifties.

England's Durham boys, Ben Stokes (42) and Mark Wood (32no), enjoyed themselves in the evening session either side of a mini-collapse for England where they lost Jos Buttler, Stokes and Broad in the space of three overs.

England were eventually bowled out though for 289, with James Anderson out in the final over of the day, meaning Australia have two days to try to chase down 412 to win the Test.
