A pick of the action from day four of the second Ashes Test at Lord's

You know those top-order collapses England are prone to? Well, they've had another...

Chasing a whopping 509 for victory - but more realistically looking to bat out the rest of the Test and secure a draw - England were skittled out for just 103, slumping to a 405-run defeat.

England lost Adam Lyth (seven), Alastair Cook (11) and Gary Ballance (14) to slip to 42-3.

But worse was to come when Ian Bell (11) clipped to short leg and Ben Stokes (0) inexcusably failed to ground his bat and was run out by Mitchell Johnson, leaving the home side's innings in tatters at tea on 64-5.

Wickets continued to fall at regular intervals after the break as Jos Buttler (11), Moeen Ali (0), Stuart Broad (25), Joe Root (17) and James Anderson (0) offered little resistance.

That drama came after Steve Smith (58) backed up David Warner (83) in the morning session as the Baggy Greens plundered 146 runs from 23 overs to declare on 254-2, Michael Clarke (32no) and Mitchell Marsh (27no) adding gloss.

There was, however, a moment of concern for Australia when opener Chris Rogers retired ill on 49 after suffering from dizziness, two days after being struck on the side of the helmet by James Anderson.
