Travelling England fans told that shirts must stay on in Abu Dhabi

England's 'Barmy Army' of travelling supporters have been warned to keep their shirts on during the second Test match due to strict local dress codes. Approximately 500 Barmy Army fans are expected to be in the Abu Dhabi stadium for the remainder of the Test series between Pakistan and England, with more due to join for the ODI and Twenty20 series to follow. However, cautions have already been placed around the ground with signs on the fences reading: "Our dress code is very simple, please keep your clothes on." "We have a strict dress code in Abu Dhabi so we are going to ask the Barmy Army, in a light-hearted way, that people keep their shirts on," Dilawar Mani of the Emirates Cricket Board said. Most English fans will be based on the mounds at either side of the ground in order to enjoy the sun but Barmy Army Colts tour operator Mark Stears assured they would respect the country's rules. "They will not be taking their tops off like they do elsewhere in the world because of the dress code," he said.
