Virat Kohli racked up a career-best 200 in Antigua and became the first India captain to score a double hundred overseas

Virat Kohli is having one heck of a year!

The Indian superstar was named Player of the ICC World T20 after amassing 273 runs in five innings at an average of 136.50, including back-to-back 80-odds against Australia and West Indies.

Kohli then continued his scintillating white-ball form for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL, hitting a competition record 973 runs, with four hundreds and seven fifties in his 16 innings.

The 27-year-old's latest stellar performance, however, came in the five-day format, as he scored 200 from 283 balls in India's first Test against West Indies in North Sound, in Antigua.

Kohli's maiden double ton - and the first by an Indian captain overseas - was laced with 24 boundaries, many of them exquisite cover drives.

The Delhi-born star's knock came to an end when he chopped Windies pacer Shannon Gabriel onto his stumps - but you can relive the best bits of his innings in the video above.
