South Africa's AB de Villiers 'to decide on international future in August'

AB de Villiers faces an uncertain few months before deciding what direction his South Africa career will take.
The 33-year-old, who captained South Africa in their three-match T20 series against England which ended in a 2-1 defeat in Cardiff, will now take a break from international cricket in order to recharge his batteries.
De Villiers, who also led the Proteas during the recent Champions Trophy tournament, will miss his country's four-Test series in England.
However, after 12 years at the top, which has yielded more than one hundred Test appearances, over 200 ODIs and 76 T20s for South Africa, the Pretoria-born player says he needs to slow down a little.
De Villiers, who is in demand to contest lucrative Twenty20 franchise events around the world, is keen to play in the 2019 World Cup but accepts he is not in a position to 'cherry-pick' which matches and series he will participate in.
He said: "I am going to meet with the CSA (Cricket South Africa) in August, and that will decide my international future.
"We will see what works for both parties. We are not going to pick and choose games, but we are going to make a final decision about what happens for the next few years."
As for the next couple of months, he added: "I am going to spend a bit of time off at home with the family.
"I'm going to welcome my new youngster into the world, and obviously look to stay fit. I want to make sure I am ready for September, when Bangladesh come."
Regarding his future ambitions: "It's my main dream to win a World Cup for South Africa, or to be part of it in one way or another.
"I don't even think it's in my hands, what is going to happen. I will wait until the final decision on the coach and things like that are made.
"Then I can also have a chat to the CSA, to see where I am going to fit in."
