Sri Lanka's Upul Tharanga suspended by ICC for over-rate offence

Upul Tharanga will miss Sri Lanka's final two group matches at the ICC Champions Trophy after his side was found guilty of a serious over-rate offence against South Africa on Saturday.
Skipper Tharanga will be suspended for the next two fixtures after Sri Lanka took four hours and seven minutes to bowl their allotted 50 overs at The Oval.
ICC rules stipulate that teams should complete their overs within three-and-a-half hours.
Tharanga pleaded guilty to the offence and accepted the sanction, so there is no need for a formal hearing to take place.
He will miss Sri Lanka's Group B matches against India at The Oval, on June 8, and Pakistan in Cardiff four days later.
The charge was laid by on-field umpires Ian Gould and Aleem Dar, third umpire Paul Reiffel and fourth official Bruce Oxenford, all members of the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires.
Sri Lanka's players were all fined 60 percent of their match fees and the team lost the game by 96 runs.
