New Zealand's 5-0 defeat prompts review process
Justin Vaughan, chief executive of New Zealand Cricket, will lead a review on the national team's performance and structure.
This comes after the Kiwi cricket team, the Black Caps, were completely outplayed by India in a series of one-day matches which resulted with India winning 5-0.
This defeat extends their one-day international losing streak to11 and has prompted Vaughan to investigate into causes.
"A range of matters will be discussed relating to team performance, leading to recommendations for consideration by the New Zealand Cricket Board," he said.
Vaughan also added: "New Zealand Cricket is committed to creating an environment where the Black Caps can succeed and to do that we need to have a robust review process."
Review
Vaughan predicts the review should take about a week and would include interviews with players and team management.
Both coach Mark Greatbatch and captain Daniel Vettori have said they expect their positions to be examined.
However Greatbatch has announced he would stand down if it helped the side.
Former Black Cap players and the local media have also questioned Vettori's role as a selector by arguing that he has taken on too much.
Backing up their claims, Vettori has announced he will miss the three Twenty20 matches against Pakistan this month to rest his injured back.
The Black Caps will also play two Tests and six one-day internationals against Pakistan before the World Cup which starts in late February.
