NatWest Pro40 - Division One The Rose Bowl Nottinghamshire Outlaws 214-8 Innings Complete (D J Hussey 81) v Hampshire Hawks 218-4 (J P Crawley 97 no, M J Lumb 53) Hampshire beat Nottinghamshire by 6 wkts An unbeaten 97 from John Crawley proved the lynchpin of Hampshire's six-wicket NatWest Pro40 win against Nottinghamshire at the Rose Bowl. Chasing a target of 215 runs, Crawley and Dimitri Mascarenhas (32) put on an unbeaten 72 for the fifth wicket to see the home side over the line with five balls to spare. Nottinghamshire captain Stephen Fleming used no less than eight bowlers in an attempt to make a breakthrough but, in the event, only Graeme Swann made any real inroads. The spinner ended the match with figures of three for 22 - Swann accounting for Michael Lumb (53), Sean Irvine (1) and Chris Benham (12). Lumb and Crawley shared an opening-wicket stand of 88, with Hampshire then threatening a mini-collapse as Swann and Samit Patel - who claimed Michael Carberry (14) - took their toll. But Crawley and Mascarenhas once more placed Hampshire on an even keel, with the last of the former's 10 boundaries handing them victory. Fleming had earlier opted to bat; however, a steady stream of wickets earned by Daren Powell (3-48) and James Bruce (2-27) ensured that Nottinghamshire's total always looked attainable. Their batting bulwarks proved to be Mark Wagh and David Hussey, who respectively made 46 and 81 - including a third-wicket stand of 95.
