Danielle Hazell has been ruled out of the remainder of England's ICC Women's World Twenty20 campaign after straining her left calf muscle during the team's training session in Dharamsala on Monday.

The Yorkshire off-spinner, who featured in England's 36-run win over Bangladesh in their opening match of the tournament, will return to the UK to start a rehabilitation programme.

She will be replaced in the England squad by Kent's Laura Marsh.

Marsh will join up with the squad in Chennai ahead of England's fourth and final group match against Pakistan on Sunday.

Head coach Mark Robinson said: "This is obviously very disappointing news for Danielle. She was an important component of the bowling attack, especially given her excellent current form and the conditions here in India.

"But we are fortunate to have such a talented and experienced replacement in Laura Marsh. We are looking forward to welcoming Laura into the squad later in the week."
