Somerset seamer to join Worcestershire next season.
Worcestershire have signed Somerset seamer Gareth Andrew on a two-year deal from next summer.
The 24-year-old will join the Pears next season, with the county keen to beef-up their bowling options.
Worcestershire's director of cricket Steve Rhodes says that Andrew has the hunger to drive the club on in the bowling department.
"We thank Somerset for allowing us to talk to Gareth and I am delighted that he has agreed to join us next year," said Rhodes.
"It is no secret we need to improve our seam bowling resources and I believe that Gareth will really strengthen our team in that department and give us the depth we need.
"He is hungry for success which is a characteristic I look for in any player."
Andrew, who made his County Championship debut in 2003, is delighted to be heading for New Road next year, where he believes he will have a greater chance of playing more first XI cricket.
"I'm thrilled to have signed for Worcestershire and am already looking forward to joining the squad in 2008," said Andrew.
"This is a career move which should give me more opportunity of playing first XI cricket."
