Tammy Beaumont hopes England’s World Cup-winning team will become heroes to aspiring young cricketers.
Beaumont, who was the Player of the Women's World Cup, is thrilled by the reaction to England's success and hopes her sport can continue to progress.
The 26-year-old also hopes that England's fourth World Cup victory will inspire future generations to play the game.
"The vibe around the game and how it has been received has been absolutely exceptional," Beaumont told Sky Sports.
"A number of people at Lord's were saying that the game on Sunday was one of the best atmospheres that they have seen. Hopefully we can really build on that as a women's sport, as women's cricket and take it to the Super League and the future.
"To see so many young girls and young boys as well come out and watch us and asking for autographs and selfies afterwards has been absolutely amazing. Hopefully one of the girls that have watched us this last five weeks is going to play for England in maybe 10 years' time in a World Cup.
"If you look at most of us in the team and asked us who are cricketing heroes were as kids it would be a man but hopefully nowadays some of them will look up to Heather Knight, Anya Shrubsole and maybe even Tammy Beaumont, which would be incredible."
Beaumont, who will play for Surrey Stars, will now focus her attentions on the Kia Super League with Sky Sports showcasing the tournament and its stars live this summer.
The England opener, who will headline the Stars' team under the leadership of England teammate Natalie Sciver, believes the tournament will go from strength to strength after an encouraging and successful inaugural campaign.
"Last year it went better than expected," Beaumont said, at the Super League T20 launch. "Hopefully off the back of the World Cup and keeping some of the world's best players in the country and them staying for the Super League will really add to it this year.
"We've got some games on Sky Sports which is going to be excellent. All the players, the domestic girls that played last year are a year older, a year wiser and the standard will be really high this year.
"Hopefully we will showcase a good domestic game and play some more exciting cricket for the fans to watch."
The 2017 Kia Super League starts on August 10 and will see all six domestic teams playing each other once in a league format.
The top three teams qualify for finals day at Hove on September 1 with the second- and third-placed sides competing for the chance to face the first-placed league winners in the final.
