Scotland v IrelandSecond one-day International
Aberdeen
Match abandoned due to rain Scotland were denied the chance to level their one-day series with Ireland after the second match in Aberdeen was washed out. Not a ball was bowled in the contest as a series of showers in the morning ended any hopes of play, the umpires calling off the match shortly after 1.30pm. Ireland had triumphed in the first ODI, which took place at the same venue on Saturday, bowling out their hosts for just 109 inside 41 overs to register a comprehensive 96-run win. Next up for Scotland is a glamour one-dayer against Australia at the Citylets Grange in Edinburgh on Friday. The Irish are also in action again this week, taking on England in Belfast on Thursday in a 50-over contest.
