England all-rounder only to update worthy 'tweets'

England all-rounder Tim Bresnan insists his Twitter future is in no doubt despite not 'tweeting' of late. Bresnan has been considerably quiet on his updates since responding in colourful language reacting to 'tweeter' banter from unknown third parties. His 'foul-fingered' rant at fellow user following some banter with team-mate Graeme Swann back in October landed the Yorkshire ace in hot water with the England management. Bresnan, though, has claimed he will still keep posting messages on the site. He said: "The thing that happened a couple of months ago, was just me being myself. "If someone has a cop at you, you stick 'em back. That's how I was brought up. "Obviously it's not great in the public eye. If someone punches you, you whack 'em back." However, the 24-year-old assures followers that his silence is not permanent. "I am still on Twitter. I haven't 'Twittered' for quite a long time - because I haven't found anything worthy of a 'Tweet'," he added.

Humorous

His silence could be due to England's busy preparations for their final ODI in Durban against South Africa on Friday as they look to secure a series win. The Yorkshireman is adamant though that once he thinks there is something commendable of a 'tweet' he won't hold back. He said: "If something interesting happens - maybe we see a great white off the beach today - that would be worth a 'tweet'. "I think if you're going to 'tweet' it's got to be humorous; otherwise, there's no point."
