Devastating knock powers West Indian to top of monthly table

Kieron Pollard tops the early August standings of the Sky Sports Sixes League after smashing Somerset into the Friends Life t20 Finals Day. The West Indies big-hitter smote four maximums in his unbeaten innings of 47 from just 25 deliveries against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge. Pollard was unable, however, to force his way into the top 10 of the season standings which are still led by Kent's Darren Stevens, who has a slender advantage over Gloucestershire's Kevin O'Brien and Josh Cobb, of Leicestershire. Elsewhere this week, Karl Brown and Azhar Mahmood also cleared the boundary four times in the FL t20 quarter-finals, but only Brown's Lancashire managed to progress.
