Tipperary GAA have ratified Liam Sheedy as manager of the county's senior hurlers.
Sheedy returns for a second stint as manager of Tipperary. The Portroe native steered the Premier to All-Ireland success in 2010.
Sheedy oversaw a hugely successful three-year period with Tipp, picking up after a disappointing 2007 campaign to end Kilkenny's 'five-in-a-row' bid just three years later.
However, he then stepped away from the role due to work commitments.
Since Michael Ryan's resignation, several high-profile names have been linked with the role, but it became clear in recent days that Sheedy was the front-runner.
Having been part of the Antrim set-up this season, the Bank of Ireland employee now turns his attention back to his native county. Judging by his past successes, he will prove to be a popular appointment at a crucial time for Tipperary hurling.
The Premier reached the League final in 2018, but failed to make an impact on the championship, with just two draws to show from their four games in the Munster Championship.
Sheedy will be hoping to unlock their undoubted potential once again and bring the side back to the top table.
