Gary Player backs Justin Rose for US Open after Masters heartache

Gary Player says that he wants Justin Rose to win the US Open because of the way he handled losing the Masters play-off earlier this year.
Rose had a two-shot lead on the final day at Augusta, but was dramatically beaten by Sergio Garcia, who won his first major at the 74th attempt.
The 117th US Open starts tomorrow at Erin Hills in Wisconsin, live on Sky Sports from 6pm.
Player, who won nine majors during his career, said: "I would like to see Justin Rose win because of the way he behaved when he lost the Masters. He had a wonderful chance to win and he let it slip.
"But he behaved so well and was a great example to young people all over the world. I always pull for the gentleman, and I would like to see him being rewarded for his great behaviour."
Rose won the US Open in 2013, and is currently ranked 11th in the world. However, since losing out to Garcia, his form has been poor. He missed the cut at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans and tied for 65th at The Players Championship.
Player, who won his only US Open in 1965, also said that he regards Rory McIlroy as the world's best golfer.
He said: "You have got Sergio Garcia and Jason Day, a lot of other very good players. But I think Rory's probably the best player in the world right now."
