Oliver Wilson, desperate to be in the top 50 ranked players in the world by the end of the year has slipped to 51st by an agonising 0.001 points. The Ryder Cup debutant has expressed his desire to be in the top 50 to ensure his place in The Masters at Augusta next April. American Zach Johnson is up to 33rd in the new rankings after capturing the Texas Open, and the victory by South African Charl Schwartzel at the Madrid Masters takes him to 66th. Elsewhere, Ernie Els has continued his drop down the rankings as he finds himself ranked in ninth place.
