Paul McGinley revealed the American he would most like to have in Europe’s Ryder Cup side, during a live Q&A at the Sky Sports Open Zone.

The former European Ryder Cup captain, who guided the hosts to victory at Gleneagles in 2014, was put to the test in front of a live audience during Sky Sports' third round coverage at Royal Troon.

McGinley answered questions on the course, the conditions and his Open predictions, before he was asked to name the American he would like to see Europe hypothetically have at their disposal for Hazeltine.

Would US Open champion Dustin Johnson be the man he'd like Europe to be able to select? Maybe two-time major winner Jordan Spieth would be his preferred choice?
