Watch the winning round as Gregory Wathelet triumphed in the first leg of the 2017 Rolex Grand Slam of Showjumping in Aachen.
The Belgian and his horse Coree jumped to victory in Aachen to claim the first leg in the year of the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping, the first major win of his career.
"I did warn you what a good rider he is," showjumping expert James Fisher told Sky Sports. "He's magical on his turns and angled them to perfection.
"He didn't easily win it but showed the class of rider he is. He's a showjumper's showjumper and a very popular winner.
"You never know with Aachen. It's one of the toughest places to jump, it's technical, big and full of drama and theatre. It certainly didn't disappoint. It was a great jump off and a fantastic performance from all of them. Top jumping."
