Nine-time world champion Sebastien Loeb is trailblazing World Rally Championship 3 star Louise Cook’s favourite driver.

And the 29-year-old from Maidstone in Kent pulled off a manoeuvre at the FIA World Rally Championship race in Sweden that the legendary Frenchman would have been proud of.

After sustaining some damage to her car earlier on her run across the snow covered course in the Western province of Varmland, Cook's bonnet flipped up when she was travelling at around 70mph as she flew over the famous Colin's Crest jump.

Unable to see properly with the bonnet covering her windscreen, Cook somehow managed to complete the stage in her Ford Fiesta R2, aided by her co-driver.

Cook faced a race against time to even reach the start line at the Rally Sweden when two of her major sponsors delayed their plans with just five days to go before race fees had to be submitted.

She was forced to list her 2012 FIA Production Car Cup trophy on Ebay to try and raise the necessary funds, and with the help of friends who set up a crowdfunding page for her, Cook managed to raise the £8,000 needed to compete.
