James Harden scored a season-high 54 points for the Houston Rockets during their 135-131 overtime loss to the Washington Wizards.
The reigning NBA Most Valuable Player was sporting a new look as he added a red headband to his distinctive bearded appearance, and it seemed to work for him.
Harden shot 17-32 from the field, with seven made three-pointers, while he also handed out 13 assists.
It wasn't enough to prevent the Rockets falling to a third straight defeat, as they continue to fail to maintain the form that led them to the top of the regular-season standings last season.
It was the fifth time in Harden's career that he has recorded 50 points and 10 assists in the same game.
