Inspirational women, no clean socks and a netball pundit dad - George Fisher's latest Sky Sports Netball Superleague diary has it all.
So it's International Women's Day and I'm often asked about women that inspire me. I am so lucky to be surrounded by inspirational women on a daily basis; being coached by them and training with them - Layla Guscoth who is an awesome baller and a proper doctor is just one of many.
Another athlete that I find inspirational is Olympic boxer Nicola Adams OBE. She broke her back in 2009 after falling down some stairs and after she spent three months bedridden.
She couldn't train for seven months and worked her way back to the top of her sport to become the first woman to ever win an Olympic gold boxing medal in 2012. Wow.
Away for the world of sport there are so many other inspirational women, one lady that total inspires me is Lucinda Stockley. I first met Lucinda at a Mavericks game after she'd featured in the England Netball magazine with Sasha Corbin back in 2015.
A few years before that Lucinda had been involved in a horrific accident and had been hit head on by a lorry. She'd been left paralysed and her whole life changed. Prior to this, among other things, she had been a competent horse woman.
Lucinda refused to lie back and accept this fate, through sheer determination, hard work, and amazing therapy she got back on her feet. It's been a tough journey for her, one with many highs and lows, but she is now walking unaided and not only that she is back at university studying.
Every time I see this lady she always amazes me with her latest achievements and I feel so inspired. She is such an interesting person and always has a positive outlook on life and an awesome smile on her face. Oh, and she's a massive netball supporter too!
And, I must just mention the one other totally inspirational woman in my life - my mum. I'm so grateful to her for everything she does for me and for her unwavering support. A strong support system is so important to all of us as players - we wouldn't be here without it and I never forget that.
So there's been two games since my last blog, a home game against London Pulse and an away game versus Severn Stars and I'm happy to say that we've got two more wins under our belts.
I love a good home game with a sell-out crowd and awesome support. We are still building and with each game the connections are growing stronger all over the court. I've always got to keep my eye on the ball - Kadeen with her trick passes and the Gabsta and Sasha with their long bombs!
I'm so pleased that I got on the end of them in the Stars game... I do love a good long bomb! The score did make me laugh, all those fours and six's again #prettynumbers. Next we're off to Scotland to play Sirens, let's hope the journey's worth it.
I nearly had a disaster on Monday... packing my kit bag and no long clean socks! Luckily dad came to the rescue - a quick wash and tumble dry and one clean fresh smelling pair of socks.
Speaking of my dad, he really thinks he's becoming a netball pundit. He predicted the wins in the Bath vs Thunder [Bath by 2 goals] and Thunder vs Wasps [Thunder by 10 goals]. Not bad predictions old man, only a couple of goals out! I think he's been watching too much netball over the years and he's loving telling anyone that will listen that he got it right!
But back to the league, I know I've said it before but I think this is the most exciting Superleague so far, you can't underestimate any team.
