The Green Bay Packers have signed centre Corey Linsley to a three-year contract extension.
Linsley, a fifth-round pick out of Ohio State in 2014, was in the final year of his rookie contract but has now agreed a $25.5m extension which keeps him in Green Bay through 2020.
The deal, which averages $8.5m per season, makes Linsley the fifth highest-paid centre in the NFL behind Brandon Linder ($11.07m), Maurkice Pouncey ($11.05m), Mike Pouncey ($8.97m) and Eric Wood ($8.52m).
The 26-year-old Linsley's extension comes a day after the Packers agreed a four-year, $58m contract extension with wide receiver Davante Adams, meaning they will retain both of their top free agents on offence.
Green Bay have averaged 4.52 yards per carry so far this season, good for fifth in the NFL, with Linsley the only member of the offensive line to play in every game.
