The Dallas Cowboys have one of the most reliable kickers in the NFL.

Dan Bailey, a six-year veteran who has spent his whole career with the Cowboys, broke the franchise record for field goals made last month with his 163rd against the Baltimore Ravens.

Throughout his NFL career, Bailey has converted almost 250 extra point attempts - he's never missed one - and also holds the record for the longest field-goal score at Pittsburgh Steelers ground Heinz field, where he made a 53-yard attempt.

Bailey achieved a new feat on Sunday night against the New York Giants, when he took on a 55-yard effort at the end of the first half.

Leading 7-0 with just two seconds remaining before the break, Bailey stepped up and although the kick looked like it might go the distance, it fell just inches short, bouncing off the crossbar and away.

Made famous by Soccer AM, Helen and Fenners would have been proud of Bailey's efforts. However, it may have proved a crucial miss for the Cowboys, who went on to lose the game 10-7.
