Mark Percival signs four year St Helens contract extension

England International Mark Percival has agreed a new four-year contract with St Helens.

The 22-year-old centre has committed his future to the club by signing an extension until the end of the 2021 season.

Percival told the club's website "I love this club. I have been here since I was 12-years-old and I want to help it win more trophies.

"I'm happy here. I love playing and love the friends I have at this club and the team around me.

"I just want to improve and get better and I'm looking forward to doing that over the next four years.

"It was a dream to play for England but my priority is to do well for this club. If I do that then I give myself the best chance of playing for England again.

"I'd like to thank everyone at the club for their support and belief. Without that I wouldn't get the chance to do what I do and I want to give it back to them on the field."

Percival came to the club from Halton Hornets and after impressing in the academy, has become an integral part of the first team squad.

The centre made his debut against Leeds in the 2013 season and has gone on to score 420 points in 79 games.

He made three appearances for the national team in the 2016 Four Nations.

St Helens are next in Super League action against Wigan Warriors on Friday, which is live on Sky Sports.
