The 22-year-old, who progressed through the Wigan ranks before joining the Giants in 2010, has agreed a deal until the end of the 2014 campaign.
He will go straight into Richard Agar's 19-man squad to face Hemel Stags on Saturday.
"I am over the moon," Molloy told the Wildcats' official website. "It's good to get my life on track, push on and get some games under my belt.
"Rich (Agar) got in contact and said he'd seen me play a couple of times and he liked me and he wanted me before, and I've actually almost come here before.
"I've signed here for quite a bit and I don't just want to play games, I want to be the best I can be every day I'm here.
"I've not played in a while with injury but I'll let my talking be done on the field and see what happens. I can't wait for it."
